These terms of service ("Terms") govern your use of the Mixidoo website and service at mixidoo.co.uk (the "Service"). The Service is operated by Mixidoo Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, trading as "Mixidoo" ("we", "us", or "our"). (Our company registration number and registered office address will be added shortly.) By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Description of Service
Mixidoo is an AI-powered tool that converts recipes from various websites into Thermomix-compatible format. The Service includes recipe extraction, AI conversion, recipe storage, and an optional Cookidoo connection for uploading converted recipes. Mixidoo is an independent service and is not affiliated with Vorwerk, Thermomix®, or Cookidoo® (see section 15).
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to use the Service. By using the Service you confirm that you meet these requirements.
3. Account Registration
To use certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account. You must provide accurate information and notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
Free Tier
The free tier provides limited access to the Service, including up to 3 recipe conversions and 3 Cookidoo uploads per month. Dietary adaptations and recipe revisions are paid features.
Paid Subscriptions
Paid subscriptions (Home Cook and Chef) are billed monthly through our payment processor, Paddle, which acts as merchant of record. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. Prices are displayed on our pricing page and may be updated with reasonable notice.
What Counts as a Conversion
Your monthly conversion allowance covers both URL-based recipe conversions and AI-powered dietary adaptations (such as gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, and vegetarian variants). Each AI-powered action counts as one conversion. Scaling a recipe to a different number of servings does not consume a conversion credit on paid plans, as no AI is involved.
Your 14-Day Cancellation Right
As a consumer, you normally have the right to cancel a new subscription within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Because the Service provides digital content and access immediately, when you start a paid subscription you expressly request that we begin providing the paid features straight away and acknowledge that you will lose your 14-day right to cancel once those features have been supplied. If you have not yet used any paid features, you may cancel within 14 days for a full refund by contacting us.
Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account page. On cancellation, you keep access to paid features until the end of your current billing period, and your subscription will not renew. We do not generally provide refunds for partial billing periods. However, as a gesture of goodwill and at our discretion, we may refund or credit you for a substantial unused portion of your monthly allowance if you contact us — for example, where you cancel shortly after renewing and have not used the Service. Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
5. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
Recipe conversions are generated by artificial intelligence and may contain inaccuracies. Thermomix settings including temperatures, speeds, and timings are AI-estimated and should be verified before use. We strongly recommend:
- Reviewing all converted recipes before cooking
- Using your own judgement regarding cooking times and temperatures
- Starting with lower settings and adjusting as needed
- Never leaving your Thermomix unattended during operation
- Checking all ingredients for allergens, especially when using dietary adaptations
- Consulting the official Thermomix® manual for safe operating limits
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or safety of any AI-generated recipe conversion. Subject to section 10, you use converted recipes at your own risk.
6. Connecting Your Cookidoo Account
The Cookidoo connection is an optional feature that lets you upload converted recipes to your own Cookidoo account. It is an unofficial connection: Mixidoo is independent of Vorwerk and Cookidoo (see section 15). By using this feature, you acknowledge and agree that:
- You use the feature at your own risk, and you are responsible for ensuring that your use complies with Cookidoo's and Vorwerk's own terms of use.
- Connecting a third-party account and automating uploads to it may be inconsistent with Cookidoo's terms and could, in principle, result in your Cookidoo account being restricted, suspended, or terminated by Vorwerk. We cannot control or predict how Vorwerk will treat such use.
- We are not responsible or liable for any action taken by Vorwerk or Cookidoo, including suspending, blocking, or terminating your account, or for any loss of recipes or data resulting from those actions or from changes to the Cookidoo service.
- We provide the connection "as is" and do not warrant that it will remain available or compatible; Vorwerk may change or withdraw access at any time.
- We store an encrypted authentication token (not your password) to perform the uploads you request, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can disconnect at any time, which deletes the stored token.
7. Intellectual Property and Recipe Content
Recipes extracted from third-party websites remain the intellectual property of their respective owners. Mixidoo does not claim ownership of original recipe content.
Mixidoo is a tool that converts recipes into Thermomix-compatible format at your direction. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to use, convert, and upload any recipe you submit to the Service. Many recipe websites have terms that restrict how their content may be copied, adapted, or republished — including uploading to platforms such as Cookidoo. It is your responsibility to review and comply with the terms of use of any source website before converting or uploading a recipe.
Subject to section 10, Mixidoo shall not be liable for any copyright or intellectual property claims arising from your use of third-party recipe content. The AI-converted Thermomix adaptations are provided for your personal, non-commercial use only.
The Mixidoo service, including its design, features, and code, is our intellectual property and is protected by applicable laws.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code
- Use automated tools to scrape or access the Service excessively
- Share your account credentials with others
- Circumvent usage limits or subscription restrictions
- Create multiple accounts to obtain additional free allowances or exploit promotional offers
- Redistribute converted recipes commercially
We reserve the right to flag, restrict, or terminate accounts suspected of abuse, including duplicate account creation to bypass usage limits.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that recipe conversions will be accurate or suitable for any particular purpose. This does not affect the statutory rights you have as a consumer, including that services will be provided with reasonable care and skill.
10. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; (c) any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. The remainder of this section applies only to liabilities that can lawfully be limited.
Subject to the paragraph above, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, Mixidoo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service, including damages resulting from:
- Inaccurate recipe conversions
- Food preparation based on AI-generated instructions
- Loss of data or Cookidoo account access
- Actions taken by Vorwerk or Cookidoo in respect of your account
- Service interruptions or unavailability
- Damage to your Thermomix or other kitchen appliances resulting from the use of AI-generated settings, temperatures, speeds, or timings
- Allergic reactions or adverse health effects resulting from ingredient substitutions, omissions, or inaccuracies in AI-generated recipes
- Ingredient misuse or incorrect quantities suggested by the conversion process
Subject to the first paragraph of this section, our total aggregate liability to you arising out of or in connection with the Service and these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) £100. Mixidoo is a software tool only; always consult the official Thermomix® manual and use your own judgement when preparing food.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Mixidoo and its officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights, including the intellectual property rights of recipe creators or website owners, or the terms of use of Cookidoo, Vorwerk, or any source website; or (d) any recipe content you convert, save, or upload using the Service.
12. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your stored recipes and personal data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Service. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms; if you do not agree, you should stop using the Service and may cancel.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you may also benefit from any mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence, and nothing here removes those protections.
15. Trademarks and Non-Affiliation
Mixidoo is an independent service and is not affiliated with, authorised by, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with Vorwerk International AG or any of its subsidiaries or affiliates. Thermomix® and Cookidoo® are registered trademarks of Vorwerk International AG. These names are used solely to factually identify the products and services with which Mixidoo is compatible, which constitutes nominative (referential) fair use. All trademark rights remain solely with their respective owners.
